END OF THE SPEAR DVD SCORES IMPRESSIVE RUN IN RENTAL, RETAIL DISTRIBUTION
End of the Spear (EOTS), the award-winning independent release chronicling the story of five young missionaries brutally killed in an Ecuadorian jungle in 1956, and the reconciliation that followed, spent 11 weeks in the top fifty of all DVD releases this summer.
Produced and released theatrically nationwide by Every Tribe Entertainment in January of 2006, EOTS won a Crystal Heart Award as well as the Grand Prize at the Heartland Film Festival.
Distributed by Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, EOTS has shipped approximately 800,000 units of the DVD.
"We're gratified by the public's embrace of this production," said Bill Ewing, president of Every Tribe Entertainment. "The story depicted in this film presents an important and timely message of forgiveness and reconciliation among cultures, and it is now available to anyone to see for generations to come. We're very proud and honored to be part of bringing this amazing story to film."
Every Tribe Entertainment is developing its next theatrical release and announcements will be forthcoming.
