EVERY TRIBE ENTERTAINMENT OPTIONS TED DEKKER'S BLINK FOR THEATRICAL RELEASE
Relations between West, Muslim world cast in high-adventure drama
Every Tribe Entertainment, producer of the theatrical feature End of the Spear, has signed an agreement with author Ted Dekker to take his action-adventure novel Blink to theaters.
Dekker's Blink is a captivating thriller set amidst the shifting sands of the Middle East and the back roads of America. Juxtaposing danger and romance, this true-to-life story will have viewers on the edge of their seats, and leaving theaters with a new perspective on US-Islamic relations.
An online encyclopedia describes Dekker novels as those that "...combine adrenaline-laced stories packed with unexpected plot twists, unforgettable characters, and incredible confrontations between good and evil." Blink will not disappoint in that respect.
"We're ecstatic to announce Blink as our next theatrical release," said Mart Green, CEO of Every Tribe Entertainment. "The first time I read the book, I couldn't put it down. We're delighted that Ted Dekker has placed his confidence in us to faithfully bring this story to the screen and pleased to be working with him."
The Blink screenplay is now being written by Judith Barrett Lawson and Bill Ewing. Plans are for a broad theatrical release in 2008, coinciding with Dekker's revised paperback release of Blink in bookstores nationwide.
Every Tribe Entertainment creates films that address globally relevant issues in order to incite a positive impact on the world.
